Posted by Cecilia Lico onMarch is here and Spring is just around the corner and aquamarine is our gemstone of the month.
Aquamarine is characterize by a light blue color, it belongs to the family of Beryls alongside heliodor, morganite, and emerald. This gem was named after its resemblance in color to seawater (in Latin word aqua means water while the word marina means “of the sea”).
This gemstone is mostly mined in Brazil, but it is also found in Nigeria, Madagascar, Zambia, Pakistan, and Mozambique.
